Company history

Seven years of trust in an industry that cannot afford failure.

Highway Traffic Control was built on showing up. From one Belleville office, we have grown into a statewide New Jersey operation that also serves Pennsylvania and New York — without ever treating a work zone like a small detail.

  1. Seven years of showing up

Highway Traffic Control was founded by Priscila and Paul DeBarros on a simple standard: be there when the call comes in. In an industry where a late crew or a missing sign can shut down a job site or put lives at risk, showing up is not optional — it is the business.

  2. Built on trust, not talk

Reputation here is earned shift by shift. Contractors, utilities and agencies keep calling because we do what we say — crews arrive on time, setups meet the plan, and someone answers the phone at 2 a.m. when an emergency closure is needed.

  3. Statewide in New Jersey, plus Pennsylvania & New York

From the main office in Belleville, Highway Traffic Control now runs work zones across New Jersey and regularly supports projects in Pennsylvania and New York. Yards in Stanhope, Woodbridge and Lawrence keep equipment and certified personnel close to the action.

  4. Certified, compliant and ready

MWBE and SBE certification, OSHA-trained crews and NJDOT-compliant setups are the baseline. The real difference is accountability: every job gets the same attention whether it is a single-lane taper or a multi-mile detour.
